Tidewater Glacier Photography

This tour is designed for photographers, videographers and other guests particularly interested in taking advantage of the beautiful lighting in LeConte Glacier Fjord late in the day!

We will share our years of experience to help you get aligned for that perfect shot and give you extra pointers on photographing Alaska’s magnificent glaciers and icebergs. You’ll never feel rushed as we spend as much time as we need to capture the perfectly composed image.

LeConte Glacier Bay is a 12 mile-long fjord that has been carved out of the surrounding coastal mountain range by glaciers over the course of thousands of years. The tidewater glacier is very active and is constantly fracturing, calving and filling the bay with hundreds of icebergs. The fjord is a magical place to explore with its thundering waterfalls, hidden coves and 2500 foot rock walls that have been polished by the ice.

While harbor seals are present throughout the year, May-June is generally pupping season so is a great time for viewing harbor seal pups and bald eagles. Mountain goats often adorn the rock walls throughout the summer season.

We limit our tours to private groups of up to 6 guests for a personalized experience. All tours include tons of natural history information!
